STATEMENT
I am constantly questioning the role of the artist in society. My work is created through the experiences and exchanges I have with others. I am also driven by the curiosity of our universe; movement, gravity, time and space, physical matter, chance and the unknown. In Western society we live in a world that champions speed and market. I am attracted to projects that lend themselves to a slower tempo, working and sharing ideas with others that acknowledge how precious time is and allow for contemplation of what it means to be human, to be able to create, love, share and learn from one another. I am particularly interested in the sharing of stories, uncovering truths and archiving accurate histories.
Creating from my core is my way of navigating the realities of our world. I hope to make a contribution by continuing to learn about and appreciate what each day can reveal.
